Estate Planning
In 4-H, family participation gets passed down from generation to generation — just one of the many special things about the organization. While some of 4-H’s activities have changed over the years, its mission and values — empowering youth with the skills and confidence ‘learned by doing’ — have not.
Make a lasting difference in the lives of one of our most valuable resources – today’s youth.
You can make a significant contribution through your will or retirement plan to the Massachusetts 4-H Foundation. Many years from now, you will still be providing support to 4-H programming and activities throughout Massachusetts! Regardless of the amount, your gift is unique and meaningful.
You don’t have to choose between leaving a gift to your family or 4-H. You can do both. Some gifts may actually save your family money by decreasing inheritance taxes.

Please consider including the Massachusetts 4-H Foundation in your estate plan, and when you do, we invite you to join the 4-H Heritage Circle. Your bequest can be a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or the estate remainder. You can decide to give a retirement fund or life insurance policy, bonds, or certificates of deposit. You can also choose whether your bequest will be unrestricted or directed twoard a specific Foundation endowment fund that holds meaning for you.
It’s easy to arrange a bequest.
- Make sure you have an up-to-date will that reflects your charitable objectives.
- Contact your financial adviser (a financial planner, lawyer or accountant) and ask for help in establishing a charitable gift.
Including the Massachusetts 4-H Foundation in your plans ensures that future generations of youth in the Commonwealth will have the opportunity to learn new skills, develop lifelong values, and experience the fun and excitement of 4-H. The lives that these 4-H members eventually lead, and the impact that they have on their communities, will be your legacy.
We thank you in advance for consideration of becoming a member of the 4-H Heritage Circle.
